The
movies
The Eighth King of Rome is tightly linked to the movies. In Via Raimondo
Montecuccoli Roberto Rossellini shot the most dramatic scenes of “Roma
città aperta” (Anna Magnani was assasined just
in front of n. 17 and some interiors in n. 38) the 17 and 18 of January
of
1945. Some scenes of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s “Accattone” were
shot in Via Fanfulla da Lodi (1961) and, also from Pasolini, at Acquedotto
park, “Mamma Roma” was filmed. The Prenestino’s
city highway appeared in “My name is Tanino” form Paolo
Virzi’ (2001) and, as said, most of the scenes in “Casa
Pigneto”are shot here. |
